5 out of 5 stars Perfect size, perfect price   February 26, 2010

I have been looking for a while for just this stroller. I was looking for something to put in the back of the car for mall and short grocery shopping. Also I didn't want it to look cheap, it needed a sun shade and needed to fit my skinny one year old. And something under $40. Finally, this fits the bill.

The stroller was tightly packaged and all the end parts were covered with foam. The 4 sets of wheels were easy to pop on, though I probably should have turned the lights on to see the direction arrow because I ended up putting the first one on upside down. No problem, though, it was easy to follow their instructions to push a button and pop it off. It took me 10 minutes to put together with a toddler crawling all over me and it, which I categorize as a success.

Cons: the back is not breathable, so summers might be a little rough with back-sweat. Also, it claims to have recline, and although it does, it probably only reclines about 2 inches at best. I would not get this for that feature, it's pretty lame actually.

I got it in all black because I didn't want it to look dirty after a while. The stroller is good for up to 50 pounds, though honestly if my child still wants to be in a stroller when he's 7, we've got issues.

I read most of the reviews posted and decided it was worth buying this for our trip to Hyannis in Cape Cod Mass. We live in Montreal Canada. The item was shipped to my US address in NY State just 45 minutes from where I live. I picked it up, came back and assembled it within 10 minutes. Then we packed it away and left on our trip. We used this everywhere for our 2 year old and loved it! Great height, lightweight and extremely stable. No wheel wobbles, just a rock solid stroller that both my wife and I would recommend. We purchased the black model on sale here at Amazon and even if we purchased it at full price it would be worth it.

I ordered this stroller because I was so tired of lugging our huge Graco in and out of the trunk. Also, I wanted something cheaper and smaller for travel. This stroller is very light-weight and very cheap but has most of the features I was wanting. It has a true five-point harness to keep my wiggling toddler in place, a small under basket and parent drink holder, and it is a bit taller than most cheap strollers. When I first got it I had my doubts...the front wheels wobbled, and it wasn't quite as tall as I'd like. My husband and I both kick the wheels a bit. He's 6' and I'm 5'6". It is better than the cheap BRU strollers, but not as tall as the Combi. Well, it's been a few months now and I love this purchase. Truly a great value. If your wheels wobble, just keep using it a little more. Ours stopped wobbling by the second or third time we used it. Also, I traveled to L.A. and Disneyland with it, and it was perfect. So much easier and smaller than our other stroller. Gate check at the airport as always broke part of it. The rear wheel was terribly bent when we got home, but I e-mailed First Years and they sent me a new one FREE. I've spent 25 bucks on a new wheel for the Graco in the past, and I think this one even came faster. Awesome customer service.

5 out of 5 stars Great Umbrella Stroller   March 10, 2010

I was looking for an inexpensive stroller for day trips to the zoo or shopping for my 2 year old. I wanted a stroller that had a 5-point harness, an umbrella and a small storage area underneath. This is exactly what I was looking for!

I also purchased a saddle bag that attaches to the stroller handles. The stroller doesn't recline very far like the previous review says, but my daughter always falls asleep sitting up, so that wasn't an issue.

A lot of reviews on strollers mention how they aren't made for tall people, so I wanted to address that with this stroller. I'm 5'8" and I don't need to hunch over at all, so I am very pleased with the purchase.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect stroller!!   March 11, 2010

I have been looking for a compact and functional stroller for my toddler and this product is it!! Specifically, I wanted a stroller that would last us until he is at least 4 years old for those times when we are at the zoo or Disney World and I know he'll want/need to rest after walking. Very few umbrella strollers can support weight over 35 lbs, and this stroller is rated for 50 lbs. And at the price, you really cannot find anything better. I ordered the "Happy Hippo" print, and was overwhelmingly pleased to see it is even cuter in person. The stroller glides very smoothly on hard surfaces and carpet, and is a comfortable height for both myself an my husband to use. The stroller itself feels solid and durable, and I am confident we will get the intended use out of this product for many years. (One small caveat is that our stroller arrived with one of the hinge covers missing, but I have contacted the manufacturer for a replacement, and I don't anticipate that to be an issue.) I highly recommend this item for parents looking for a compact on-the-go stroller.
